Planning a potentially 10-day New Life Sahavas for Oct, 2021 (Baba Zoom Reunion)! This page will update frequently as plans solidify…
We will meet in real life, in Myrtle Beach! The emphasis will be October 15-17, 2021, when it is still warm enough to be outdoors… but there will be plenty of folks who might like to stay longer, so we will plan on activities for the week and perhaps the following weekend also!
The Meher Center might be limited in its overnight capacity, since it will still be opening up. But there are a lot of local places to stay. Angela is researching nearby hotel and condo rates. If there is interest, we can organize a shuttle van or two, and volunteer drivers, for the weekend’s activities.
A sketch of the proposed program – <everyone> is invited to all activities:
Meals catered for the weekend of Oct 15-17: Friday dinner through Sunday lunch (*only for those who have paid in advance*)
Friday Oct 15 evening socializing at the Circle Center
Saturday Oct 16 New Life concert and talk
Saturday Oct 16 evening Dance Party outdoors at the Cabana
Afternoons free time, and between 2-5pm you can wander the grounds of the Meher Center
8pm at the Meher Center, if it is open, there are usually programs open to all
During the week:
Concerts daily by local Baba lover musicians
A tour of the cemetery where Darwin Shaw and other Baba lovers are memorialized
Table tennis ladder tournament!
Beach activities if warm enough: body boarding, beach volleyball, badminton, bocci ball…
Pickleball, tennis, basketball – no cost places to play
Color your own Baba bookmarks and buttons, we will laminate them on the spot!
Maybe a tour of Jeff Wolverton’s garden!
Making communal meals – maybe we can have some cooking classes!
Local tourist attractions such as mini golf, bumper cars, zip lining, ferris wheel, baseball game, kayaking… loads of possibilities, we may be able to negotiate group rates.
Afternoons and Evenings on the Meher Center if open
Costs would be:
All Baba events would be free of charge (will let you know if that changes)
1. your own lodging, and your own transportation to/from Myrtle Beach
2. optional: catered meals and local transportation
3. optional: local attractions may have to be budgeted for, not necessarily cheap!

If we have the funds, there will be a Scholarship Fund to partially help with airfare for those travelling from abroad, such as India! To contribute towards this Fund, please visit the Contribute page of this website!
Intriguing idea: Take Amtrak across the US! Coming to MB and leaving, we could have a Train-a-van (as opposed to caravan)! Details still very dreamy right now, but might be great fun! There’s an Amtrak station about an hour from Myrtle Beach – seems like it would be possible to get some shared transport to and from the train!
